1. Who we are
Team Sunshine Construction, LLC (“Team Sunshine,” “we,” “us”) is a founder-owned home services company based at 577 Main St, Hudson, MA 01749. This policy covers teamsunshine.com, our paid landing pages, and the calls, texts, and emails that follow from something you do on the site. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.
2. What we collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what we look up about your property, and what your browser tells us.
What you give us
- Your first name, mobile number, and (optionally) email when you ask for a plan, an estimate, a call back, or an appointment.
- Your answers in the intake conversation: what is bugging you about the house, whether you own or rent, your ZIP code or address, your goal and timing, and for commercial requests the property type, size, and who decides.
- Anything you type into the conversation box. Please do not enter payment details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information; we never ask for them there.
- Appointment details when you book, and notes from any assessment or job we do for you.
What we look up about your property
When you enter an address (in the intake, or the “Analyze my home” box), we look up public and licensed data about that property so we can show you a preliminary path before anyone visits. Specifically:
- Location and roof data from Google’s Geocoding, Solar, and Static Maps services: the standardized address, approximate coordinates, a satellite image, usable roof area, roof pitch and orientation, and annual sunshine hours.
- Parcel and building records from a property-data provider where available: approximate year built, square footage, stories, lot size, heating fuel and system type, and roof material. This is public-record data; it can be out of date or missing, and we say so when it is.
- ZIP context from our own tables: your state, its climate, and the local utility, which we use to name the right rebate programs.
We cache a lookup for up to 30 days, keyed by the address, so a second look is fast. We do not sell or share this property data with other advertisers. If you give us your contact details, the lookup is attached to your record so our Home Advisor can see what you saw.
What your browser tells us
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and timestamps. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes these to serve and protect the site.
- Analytics and advertising pixels, and a first-party attribution cookie, described in section 4.
3. Calls and texts, including automated and AI-generated ones
If you give us a phone number and check the consent box, you are agreeing to the following wording exactly as it appears on the form:
“I agree that Team Sunshine and its partners may contact me at the number and email I provided about my request and related home services, by phone calls and text messages, including calls and texts that are automated, prerecorded, or generated by AI, and by live representatives. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.”
In plain terms, that means:
- Who may contact you: Team Sunshine and the partners who help us schedule and deliver the work (for example a scheduling service or a financing partner you ask about). We do not sell your number to lead brokers.
- How: by phone call and by text message. Some calls and texts are placed or answered by automated systems, including ones that use prerecorded voices or artificial intelligence to talk with you, and some are from live people. We will tell you when you are talking to an automated assistant if you ask.
- About what: the request you made and related home services, such as confirming an appointment, following up on a plan, or letting you know about a program you qualify for.
- It is optional: consent is not a condition of buying anything from us. You can get an estimate by calling us directly instead.
- Message frequency varies with your request; a typical request results in a handful of messages over a few weeks. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP to any text, tell any caller you want no more calls, or contact us using section 9. We honor a stop request within ten business days, usually the same day. Reply HELP to any text for assistance.
We keep a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, its version, the date and time, the page you were on, and the IP address and browser that submitted it. That record is how we prove we had permission to reach you.
4. Analytics, advertising pixels, and the attribution cookie
We advertise on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, Microsoft, TikTok, and connected-TV networks, and we need to know which ads bring people who actually book an assessment. To do that:
- Pixels. Pages may load a small script from each platform we advertise on. It records that a page was viewed, that a request was started, that a lead was submitted, or that an appointment was requested, and sends that event to the platform with an event identifier. Where a platform supports it, we also share a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of your email or phone so the platform can match the conversion to the ad you clicked. Which pixels load is listed in section 8.
- The attribution cookie. When you arrive from an ad, the link carries a click identifier (for example
gclid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid) and campaign tags. We store those in a first-party cookie namedts_attrfor 90 days, together with the page you landed on and the referring site. If you later send us a request, that cookie’s contents travel with it, so we can credit the right campaign. The cookie does not contain your name, number, or address. - Server-side reporting. After you become a customer, our customer relationship system reports funnel stages (appointment booked, assessment completed, job sold) back to the platform that brought you, using the same event identifier and hashed contact details, so the platform counts each event once.
- Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It is configured with consent defaults set to denied until you accept, and IP addresses are not stored in a personally identifiable form.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising through each platform’s ad settings, through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info, and by clearing or blocking cookies in your browser. Blocking the ts_attr cookie does not affect your ability to use the site.
5. How we use your information
- To answer your request, build your plan, schedule and perform assessments and work, and provide service afterward.
- To find rebates, incentives, and financing you may qualify for, and to file the paperwork you ask us to file.
- To keep the site working, secure, and fast, and to understand which pages and ads are useful.
- To meet legal obligations, such as licensing, permitting, warranty, and tax requirements.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you without a person involved.
6. Who we share it with
- Service providers that run our systems: website hosting (Cloudflare), our customer relationship and scheduling platform, our AI assistant provider (Anthropic) for the intake conversation, property-data providers named in section 2, and communications providers that place calls and send texts on our behalf. They may use your information only to provide the service to us.
- Advertising platforms, as described in section 4, limited to conversion events and hashed identifiers.
- Utilities, program administrators, and financing partners, only when you ask us to apply for a rebate, incentive, or financing on your behalf.
- Authorities and others when required: to comply with law, permits, or a lawful request, to enforce our terms, or to protect people or property.
- A successor if Team Sunshine is sold or merged; we would ask them to honor this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the pixel events described above.
7. How long we keep it
- Requests that do not become jobs: up to 3 years from your last contact with us, then deleted or anonymized.
- Customers: for as long as we service the equipment or the warranty runs, plus the period tax, licensing, and warranty law require (typically 7 years).
- Consent records for calls and texts: 5 years after the last message, so we can show we had permission.
- Property lookups not attached to a request: 30 days in cache, then gone.
- The attribution cookie: 90 days from the first ad click.
- Call recordings and transcripts, where a call is recorded and you were told so: 12 months.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
8. The pixels and cookies we use
- ts_attr (first-party, 90 days): click identifiers and campaign tags from the ad that brought you, the landing page, and the referrer.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): page view, view content, initiate checkout, lead, schedule.
- Google Ads and Google Analytics tags (Google): page view and conversion events; Consent Mode v2 with defaults set to denied.
- Microsoft Advertising UET (Microsoft): page view and conversion events.
- TikTok Pixel (TikTok): page view, view content, lead, schedule.
- Connected-TV measurement pixel (Vibe): page view, so we can measure whether TV ads bring visits.
A pixel only loads on a page when we have enabled that platform; this list is the complete set we may use.
9. Your choices and how to reach us
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
- Correct it.
- Delete it, subject to the records we must keep by law.
- Stop calls and texts (reply STOP or tell us), stop emails (use the unsubscribe link or tell us), or stop sharing conversion events with advertising platforms.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, New Hampshire, and others we serve) have these rights by statute and may appeal a decision we make about a request by replying to our response. We will not treat you differently for exercising them. We respond within 45 days, and we may ask for enough information to be sure the request is really from you.

10. Children
Our services are for adults who own or manage property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
Data moves over encrypted connections, secrets are kept out of the website code, and the only server code that touches your contact details is the one that hands your request to our customer system. No method is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects the calls and texts you agreed to, we will ask again rather than assume.
